

The Tenancy Programme assists in providing security of tenure and land pricing to occupants who have been on lots approved by the Director of Surveys on the LSA’s designated areas and land settlement areas, before the 14th of June, 2014.
The aim of this initiative is to afford eligible persons the protection from ejectment through the shield of a short term Tenancy agreement and thereafter, a Statutory Lease and ultimately a one hundred and ninety-nine (199) year Deed of Lease.

1) ALL applicants must be 18 years and over;
2) A citizen OR resident of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago;
3) In occupation of a lot in one of the above stated sites before June 14th 2014; AND
4) He or she must be landless. A person is considered landless when they do not own or occupy any other dwelling house or residential land or agricultural land upon which a residential structure is permitted.
PERSONS WHO PREVIOUSLY APPLIED FOR TENANCY AND / OR ARE CURRENTLY TENANTS OF THE STATE, COC RECIPIENTS AND STATUTORY LEASE RECIPIENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO APPLY TO THIS PROGRAMME. SAID PERSONS ARE CURRENTLY BEING PROCESSED AND WILL BE PRIORITIZED.
· Citizen – National I.D. & Birth Certificate.
· Resident – National I.D., Passport & Certificate of Residency.
· All applicants must submit documentary evidence to prove their occupation before 14th June 2014. These documents include: bills showing materials purchased for the house, T&TEC, WASA, TSTT bills or any legally recognised document, clearly depicting the name(s) of applicant(s), the address of the parcel of land and a date supporting occupation before 14th June 2014.
